妈妈的男人

Mikey is on his way to the airport to return to his wife and newborn baby after a holiday visit with his parents. However, instead of boarding the plane, he decides to go back to his childhood room in his parents' loft in lower Manhattan, which has now been converted into storage. He is unsure of his own motivations and comes up with excuses to stay, such as flight delays or cancellations. He calls home and work to say he can't return just yet, citing his parents' old age or illness as reasons. His mother is more than happy to enable his procrastination, while his artist father is suspicious.As the days pass, Mikey becomes more and more entrenched in his adolescent sanctuary. He digs out old notebooks and mementos and reaches out to old friends. Meanwhile, his confused wife grows increasingly unsettled from afar. Mikey's indecision and reluctance to return home start to affect his relationships and his own sense of identity.Mikey must eventually confront the choice between his current life and the nostalgia of his past. Will he choose to stay in his childhood room and cling to the comfort of the past, or will he embrace his responsibilities and return to his wife and newborn baby? The film explores themes of nostalgia, identity, and the struggle between the past and the present.
