Edwige Fenech plays Julie, the wife of Italian diplomat Manuel Gill. Shortly after returning from a vacation, Julie hears news of a series of violent crimes, which reminds her of her former lover Jean, played by Ivan Rassimov, and their tumultuous past. Jean reappears at a party Julie attends and tries to reenter her life. Meanwhile, the number of female victims of a mysterious killer continues to rise, leaving Julie to wonder what connection there may be.This film is exceptionally thrilling for four main reasons. First and foremost, Fenech delivers a brilliant performance as Julie. Secondly, Martino's imaginative direction shines through in the sensual and mysterious sexual games between Julie and Jean, reaching a climax. Thirdly, the plot is tight and full, with the character performances adding strength to the story. Lastly, the enchanting and melodic score by Nora Orlandi, along with the rich colors and meticulous cinematography, make it unforgettable.
